Wine Review:
2019 La Posta Malbec Pizzella Cost: $13.29 Alcohol: 13.5% Wines from Argentina are considered New World wines, but their history of winemaking is long and storied going back almost four hundred years. They are the largest winemakers in South America and are well known for their versions of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah wines. Fourth Generation Vintner, Laura Catena, created this incredible Malbec. This single vineyard wine is, in a word, fantastic and at an incredible price. Filled with the flavor of dark fruit and ripe red berries, the smooth, even finish makes you want to sip even more. Lovely, long finish with balanced tannins, this Malbec is a winner in every sense of the word. I cannot wait to try it again. From the bottle: “The Pizzella Family invites you to journey westward into the Uco Valley for a Sunday afternoon with them. There will be no agenda beyond the sun warming your skin and the air filling your lungs. You will sit at the family table, and with each passing moment, you will become more of a part of it. And it will remind you of important work - to enjoy the simpler times.”
